Being a mother of an autistic child and a writer myself, I am always on the hunt for books that tackle spectrum issues well. This book does. What I like most about this book is that it's not about Autism, it's about being in a funk, about needing to feel at home and special. I love that the MC is not autistic, but the brother to a kid on the spectrum and I really like how the author used the beauty of the uniqueness of that child to shine through and help the brother who is having an ugly day. Nicely done!
