This book is stunning. "It rained and rained and rained. Little Houses huddled on the humpback hills. Chimneys smoked and metal towers clanked. The streets smelled of mutton soup and coal dust and no one spoke my language."
The balance between the beautifully crafted words, the wordless, soft and warm spreads of art, is brilliant. This stories voice goes from your lips to the deepest part of your heart starting on that first page and then wraps up with even more love and beauty by the end. One of my favorites for the year. Well done!
